Update
At their meeting on 21 April 2026, Council reviewed the results of this community engagement and resolved:
That Council:
- Notes the outcomes of community consultation for the proposed electronic scoreboard at Webb Oval, Glenunga Reserve.
- Approves the installation of the electronic scoreboard, subject to:
- All supply, installation and commissioning costs being fully funded by the Glenunga Football Club and/or external grants;
- All ongoing operational, insurance and maintenance costs being met by the Glenunga Football Club;
- Finalisation ofa licence addendum to Council’ssatisfaction; and
- All necessary statutory approvals being obtained.
- Authorises the Chief Executive Officer to finalise procurement, licence and approval arrangements and oversee project delivery in accordance with Council policies.

The Glenunga Football Club (GFC) submitted a proposal seeking Council endorsementto progress the installation of a permanent electronic scoreboard at Webb Oval, GlenungaReserve. This initiative forms part of GFC’s broader long-term infrastructure plan for theGlenunga Hub precinct, which includes oval upgrades, lighting improvements andenhanced facilities for female participation.
The works will be fully funded by the club and/or grant funding.
About the proposed scoreboard
The proposed scoreboard measures approximately 4.48 metres by 2.56 metres, with high resolution display and auto brightness controls.
Power would be sourced from a nearby light pole, and connectivity provided via 4G.
Usage would be restricted to match days and approved community events.
The scoreboard could offer opportunities for community events such as outdoor movie nights,for other clubs and Glenunga International High School.

Council staff hosted adrop-in session on Monday 23 February 2026 from 5 pm - 6.30 pm at the Glenunga Hub plaza area.
