The Burnside Hospital redevelopment is soon to commence. As part of these works the developer seeks to establish a temporary, fenced, construction site compound on Hewitt Avenue near the corner of Moore Street. The fenced site compound will be established for workers, equipment and materials storage while the redevelopment is underway.
As the proposed location of the site compound will fence within 2 on-street parking spaces and impede access for pedestrians and motorists for the duration of the development, the developer must apply to Council for a permit or authorisation to erect the fence. Before this request is considered, Council seeks your feedback on the fence location.
Note that the establishment of the site also requires the removal of one juvenile tree (see image above). A tree will be replanted in this location once the redevelopment is completed.
