Council’s Annual Tree Planting Program is about to begin!
From April to September, Council will be planting new trees in streets and parks across the City, helping to grow a healthier and more resilient urban forest for our community.
Why plant trees?
Trees play a vital role in our our urban environment. They help cool our suburbs, protect Burnside’s unique character, and provide food and shelter for local wildlife. Over time, they also improve amenity, air quality and overall liveability for residents and visitors alike.

Residents, business proprietors, advertisers, and other interested persons who consider that any proposed planting may have a significant impact upon them are invited to make submissions regarding proposed plantings.

Council may add, remove, or change proposed planting locations and or species without further notice. This may or may not be reflected on the Urban Forest Interactive website. Where a proposed addition or change may have a significant impact on nearby residents, businesses, or advertisers, the website will be updated and submissions will be invited from potentially affected parties.
